NCATT and its industry partners believe that education and training is a significant factor in the development of the foundational skills and knowledge upon which professionalism is based. In accordance with its commitment to and its mission to recognized professionalism through certification, NCATT has established a Professional Instructor Certification Program. This program is available to all educators and trainers regardless of their teaching discipline.

| Professional Development Coursework in Education Studies |

| - 6 credit hours from an accredited institution; or - 90 hours of non-credit coursework in education, instruction, or training |

| - 3 years of experience in a specific career field or specialty; or - Applicable licensures or certifications required by the licensing, certifying, or accrediting agency. |

| - 12 credit hours from an accredited institution; or - 180 hours of non-credit coursework in education, instruction, or training |

| Technical Qualifications | |
| - 3 years of experience in a specific career field or specialty; or - Applicable licensures or certifications required by the licensing, certifying, or accrediting agency. |

| Instructional Experience | |
| - 2,000 contact hours of instruction; and - Associate degree or higher from an accredited institution |
