» Foreign Object Elimination Information

The NCATT standards for Foreign Object Elimination - Elements of Basic Awareness addresses
twelve industry identified basic knowledge areas, activities and functions designed to prevent
foreign objects from entering aviation and aerospace products - thereby eliminating FOD. The
NCATT standards are derived from NAS 412 – Foreign Object Damage / Foreign Object Debris
(FOD) Prevention.

The NCATT standards for FOE – Elements of Basic Awareness Plan of Instruction along with
Standards with Outcomes the can be used by industry and FAA Part 147 schools to develop
lesson plans as part of a complete FOE / FOD education and training program.
